III Film Commissions Meeting

The third meeting of Latin American Film Commissions is a gathering of the heads of the various film commissions, bodies and organizations in the audiovisual productive chain, with representatives from national and departmental institutions and private sector enterprises in the audiovisual field in Uruguay.

The main aim of the Film Commissions is to attract foreign productions that will have a positive impact on the local economy in terms of generating jobs, tourism, and the development of the audiovisual sector in our countries.

The aim of this third meeting, which is organized by Audiovisual Uruguay, is to contribute tools to consolidate with concrete action the work of the Latin American Network of Film Commissions.

Specific aims of the meeting:

- To provide inputs that will consolidate the Network.

- To draft a plan of action for 2012-2013.

- To raise awareness about the Film Commissions’ work and its role in promoting scenarios in the region and boosting the audiovisual sector.

- To raise awareness about the work done by the Audiovisual Uruguay conglomerate.
